The Preschool Players serves as an introductory class to all things theater! Led by Jenny Carbone of the PaperMill Playhouse, children learn the basics of choreography and lines, blocking, costumes, props & scenery, and of course - confidence. Performances for parents in December and April!

Brain Builders is Gingham Giraffe's STEM program that develops critical thinking skills through individual and group exploration. Children work in teams, as scientists often do, to conduct experiments and construct projects. Every week, lessons touch on at least three areas of STEM:

Science - Observe and experiment, make predictions, ask questions, and explore how things work...

Technology - Explore new and old technology. From simple tools and how they work to the many uses of today's computers and machines...

Engineering - Design and create different structures to solve problems using a variety of materials...

Math - Explore shapes, volume, measurement, patterning, charting and graphing... 

From hopscotch to hockey, children practice good sportsmanship while learning sports fundamentals using teamwork and movement. Students improve emotional relationships, impulse control and coordination while getting great exercise and learning new skills!

Every child can benefit from the balancing effects of yoga! This grounding practice enhances focus, concentration, comprehension and memory.

Balance, coordination, and body awareness improves while students simulate poses based on theme units from Halloween to Outer Space. Guided meditations and life lessons on compassion, consent and empathy teach students about their bodies and themselves, guiding them to a peaceful and centered transition home. 

This academic class is focused on age appropriate Phonics and Natural Sciences. Children's innate curiosity is put to work when students work cooperatively as detectives to figure out the "Secret Letter" or "Mystery Animal"... discovering phonics and science along the way! 

Children experiment with different mediums and techniques for a new masterpiece every time! Students are challenged while maintaining their creativity and artistic expression. We believe that every child is an artist... and that the process is as important as the product.
